'Arjun Reddy' effect: Deverakonda's subtle satire

When 'Arjun Reddy' was submitted to Censor board last year, it predictably faced problems. The board members objected to the expletives in the film and, not-so-infamously, muted the 'MC' word uttered by Vijay Deverakonda in an explosive moment. There were other objections too. Despite director Sandeep Vanga's argument that it's the character's behaviour in a given context and not an endorsement, the cult romance was censored here and there.
Luckily, the latest Deverakonda movie has had good luck with Censor board in Tamil. 'NOTA' has got 'U' certificate despite those kisses and the anger against "f^cking politicians" (as seen in the Trailer). The 'Geetha Govindam' actor has taken this opportunity to subtly take a dig at his "favourite" board! "We go U. Even I voted A. Let's see what my favourite Telugu Censorboard will give me. #MaranaWaiting," the rising star has tweeted out.
Most likely, the Telugu 'NOTA' will get a U/A. The film's pre-release events will be held on Sept 30 and Oct 1. It will have a grand release on Oct 5 in Telugu and Tamil.
