Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's crime drama titled 'Animal' (Hindi) will hit the screens later this year. The project stars Ranbir Kapoor as the hero. Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna are playing the next most important roles. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, the film has Tripti Dimri as part of the cast.
The news is that Sandeep Reddy has penned a story with quintessential crowd-pleasing ingredients for his first Bollywood original ('Kabir Singh' was a remake of 'Arjun Reddy'). The father-son track is going to be a major highlight of the movie. Besides, the film is also going to feature masala dialogues of a certain variety.
There is a talk that the director has fallen back on the father-son formula not with an eye on the family audience but because it is needed by the story. 'Arjun Reddy' had explored the father-son relationship in a modest fashion. Vijay Deverakonda's character shared a not-so-smooth relationship with his father after his love failure and due to his temperamental issues in that movie. One wonders what kind of drama 'Animal' is going to explore.
