After taking a good opening, 'Ishaqzaade' continued to be on stable ground during the weekdays as well, hence resulting in over 25 crores coming in. now these are very good results for a film which has been made on a controlled budget and was in a profit zone on the day it landed in theatres. Whatever collections that have come in theatrically have been bonus for this film which is now yet another box office success of the season.

A clear hit, 'Ishaqzaade' has also sustained itself in its second weekend, hence ensuring that a 40 crore milestone is in the offing. This would make it one of the best starts for a newcomer which is next only to Imran Khan who had seen better collections for his 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa' (over 50 crores). Nevertheless, with one single strike, Arjun has managed to make his entry into the youngster club and while his immediate competition is Ranveer Singh (who is again a Yash Raj discovery), industry bigwigs are pitching him as someone who can be considered in the league of Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Emraan Hashmi.

The film has also raised stocks of Parineeti Chopra who can now be expected to be inundated with offers from the top production houses. She played second fiddle to Anushka Sharma in 'Ladies v/s Ricky Behl' but was the most noticeable of the lot in that film. Now in 'Ishaqzaade' she has managed to hold fort in a central act and with the film turning out to be successful, industry has gained yet another star-actor.

As for Yash Raj Films, they have managed to keep their hit run intact and the horrors of 2007-2008 when five of their films (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Aaja Nachle, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Tashan) had failed in quick succession are well forgotten.

On the other hand Vikram Bhatt and Karisma Kapoor would wish to forget their misadventure called 'Dangerous Ishhq'. The film sustained on a lower side during the weekdays but such poor were the collections in the opening weekend that it didn't really add much to the final outcome. At a little over 6 crores, the film is a box office disaster and while Vikram is expected to bounce back with 'Raaz 3', one waits to see whether Karisma would be looking at continuing her stint with Bollywood in months to come.
