After a lot of speculation, the shooting for Mohit Suri's 'Half Girlfriend' had finally begun. This movie features actor Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. The news of the shooting was shared by co-producer Chetan Bhagat , who's Half Girlfriend` is an adaptation of an award winning novel by the author. Je took to twitter and said, "Hi Guys, meet Madhav Jha. 'Half Girlfriend' starts shoot today in Delhi. ATBMohit Suri , Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor."

Chetan Bhagat posted a photograph of the film's clapperboard and wrote, "Finally, the story comes to life. Big day as 'Half Girlfriend' begins shoot! Mohit Suri, Shraddha Kapoor".

Actor Arjun will be seen playing the lead character Madhav Jha, he also shared a photograph of himself on Instagram and captioned it: "And so it begins...'Half Girlfriend' basketball. Mohit Suri, Shraddha Kapoor Let's Play!"

Arjun has earlier starred in the movie '2 States' which was an adaptation of Bhagat's book '2 States: The Story of My Marriage'.
