Ardhanaari
Bhanushanker Chowdary's Ardhanari is in the mould of those films where a crusader, a super-hero to boot, rebels against a system. The trailer says it all. Starring Arjun Yajath in the role of a transgender, this one has an impressive line-up of technicians, including the much sought-after editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
Also starring debutante Mourya, it is produced by M Ravi Kumar. Music is by Ravi Varma. With just two songs, the film was shot in Nizamabad and in Ramoji Film City in the main.
As per the makers, even though a few heroes evinced interest in the project, they couldn't dare to play the role of an 'adhanari'. Dialogues like 'We want Alluri Seetharama Raju to be born in our neighborhood, but in our homes we want Allu Arjun to be born' are impressive in the trailer.
Sai Srinivas Gadhiraju is the cinematographer. Dialogues are by Niwass. Action is by Nandu and Dragon Prakash. Choreography is by Swarna.
The film is slated to be released on July 1.
