7-year-old Archie Schiller has joined the Australian cricket team as the 15th member and co-captain of the squad for their third test in Melbourne starting Wednesday, December 26 against India. Captain Tim Paine conveyed the news to Archie on his birthday and the official announcement was made a day later, on Sunday.

Make-A-Wish Australia Foundation made this possible for the young leg-spinner, who has undergone multiple surgeries after he was diagnosed with a rare heart condition when he was just three years old, as he expressed his desire to captain the Australian cricket team.

Archie trained with the team ahead of their first test in Adelaide. He apparently told coach Justin Langer that he would get Virat Kohli out.

The four-match Test series between India and Australia has been leveled at 1-1 after two matches. India won the first Test at Adelaide by 31 runs, while Australia won the second Test at Perth by 146 runs.
