But, the shocking news is that the couple is separated now. Both Rahman and Saira Bhanu got married in the year 1995 and it was an arranged marriage.

Rahman's wife Saira Bhanu has announced the news about separation to the media. Her lawyer Vandana issued a statement on behalf of Saira Bhanu. The statement is stated below:

“After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has made the difficult decision to separate from her husband, Mr. AR Rahman. This decision follows significant emotional strain in their relationship. Although they share a deep love for one another, the couple has found that the challenges and strains they have faced have created an unbridgeable gap. Mrs. Saira expressed that this step has been taken with immense pain and distress. She asks for privacy and understanding from the public during this challenging period as she navigates this chapter in her life."

AR Rahman's son Ameen took to Instagram stories and wrote, "We kindly request to everyone to respect our privacy during this time. Thank you for your understanding."

On the work front, Rahman's next big film in Tamil is Thug Life and next biggie in Telugu is Ram Charan's movie with Buchi Babu Sana.
