Production companies RSVP and Roy Kapur Films have made an amazing announcement about their upcoming war film 'Pippa'. Oscar winning music composer A.R. Rahman will score the background music for the film. Rahman has previously worked with the producers on projects like Swades, Rang De Basanti, Jodhaa Akbar, and Delhi-6, amongst others.

This is what Ronnie Screwvala said about Rahman's involvement in the film, "Patriotic and inspiring music has been A.R. Rahman's forte since the beginning of his iconic career. We are happy to welcome the maestro onto team Pippa. Collaborating with him has always resulted in spectacular albums and I'm inclined to believe that his music will be the beating heart of our film.”

'Pippa' just might be India's first tank warfare movie. It is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's book The Burning Chaffees. Ishaan Khattar is set to portray the role of war veteran Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.
