Music director AR Rahman, who has given many musical hits and won almost every award including the Oscars, has next turned a producer and script writer for the movie 99 Songs, which he has produced in his YM Movies in association with Jio Studios.

99 Songs is directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, and stars Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, and the movie will be released in multiple languages. Though the movie was supposed to release in 2019 itself, the release has been postponed and yesterday, the first single from the movie was released.

AR Rahman had tweeted about the first single release "Extremely Happy to be Collaborating with #SonyMusic for 99 songs Global Music Release. #JioStudios #99songs", and a netizen tried to troll Rahman by asking him if it is releasing in 2050, and Rahman replied to the troll "Today", in a cool manner and gave a fitting reply to the netizen.
