Actor Rahman who has been giving some impressive performance in supporting and negative characters in second innings of acting career has played the lead role in the upcoming Tamil thriller flick 'Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru' directed by Karthik Naren, a 21 year old youngster hailing from Coimbatore.

The trailer of the film was released by Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman in August 2015. The trailer was much impressive and intriguing as it promised a nail-biting thriller backed by a multi-layered story.

Now reliable sources in the know reveal that the film was specially screened to A.R.Rahman by the film's lead actor Rahman. The double Oscar winner is apparently floored by the film and he even went on to say that 'D-16' is one of the best Tamil films he has watched.

Audience will have to wait for just a week's time to watch the film praised like this by ARR as 'D-16' will be hitting the screens on December, 30 2016.
