According to the latest buzz, maestro AR Rahman is likely to share screen space with Mohanlal in the upcoming movie Aarattu helmed by B Unnikrishnan. Reportedly, AR Rahman is playing a cameo role as himself in the film. While the makers are yet to confirm the news, fans are already excited about hearing this. Incidentally, Rahman’s last Malayalam film as a composer was ‘Yodha’, which also had Mohanlal as the lead.
Mohanlal’s new film ‘Aarattu’ is touted to be a full-on mass entertainer that would appeal to all sections of the audience. The promos and poster released so far looks promising with Mohanlal’s bearded mass look as a larger-than-life character named Neyyattinkara Gopan. If latest reports prove to be true, it looks like there is one more reason to look forward to the film.
Kollywood diva Shraddha Srinath plays the female lead in the film that also has Siddique, Sai Kumar, Nedumudi Venu, Indrans Vijayaraghavan, Swasika, Rachana Narayanankutty, Neha Saxena, and Sheela in supporting roles. It was recently the team had wrapped the shoot of the flick.
Calling it a wrap for Mohanlal's portions, the movie's director took to his social media handle to write: “Lal sir finished his portrayal of Neyyattinkara Gopan today; there’s one more day’s work which he will finish in mid-March. The way he made things a lot easier for everyone in the unit during this hectic shoot, made more difficult by the pandemic, was just amazing!! Thank You, Sir."
