It has been a while since we listened to Isaipuyal AR Rahman's Tamil soundtrack. The composer had been busy with his Bollywood and International projects. His last direct Tamil album was Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil in 2019. Ever since then 'Vera Level Sago' from Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan was the only Tamil single track of ARR.

The Mozart of Madras has been working on a dozen of Tamil projects in the meantime. He is scoring music for Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan, Simbu's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu & Pathu Thala, Vikram's Cobra, Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal and Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. Apart from the aforementioned titles, he has signed to compose for a couple of untitled Tamil films.

Now, the Oscar Naayagan has taken to his Twitter to announce that a Tamil movie soundtrack will be released in December month in his music. He has asked the fans to guess the movie in the comments. Possibly, the soundtrack of Cobra or Ayalaan is expected by the majority while some fans think that it is Ponniyin Selvan album as ARR added the hashtag #தமிழ் to the post.
