AR Rahman, the world-renowned music composer from Tamil cinema, has offered his condolences to the respected late Captain Vijayakanth via a social media post. He appreciated him for feeding quality food to every film worked and for feeding hungry people throughout his life.

Isai Puyal's post is now going viral on the internet. It is so moving that everyone is praising his philanthropy today.#RIPCaptainVijayakanth" (sic).

Captain Vijayakanth starred in more than 150 films as an actor and is also a successful politician who was the opposition party leader of Tamil Nadu. He suffered health issues over recent years and passed away yesterday in a private hospital in Chennai at the age of 71. His body is now kept in Theevu Thidal and will be cremated at the DMDK office in Koyambedu.
