Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy duo was one of the unforgettable musical combos in Indian film history. Tamil cinema's musical stalwarts MS Viswanathan and TK Ramamoorthy teamed up to form the combo. They have worked together on countless evergreen songs in Kollywood.

Now, the latest is that Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy's famous song 'Paartha Nyabhagam Illayo' gets reimagined in music composer turned actor Vijay Antony's upcoming film 'Kolai'. The original song is featured in the 1964 movie 'Puthiya Paravai'. It was crooned by the renowned singer P Susheela and was written by Kavi Arasu Kannadasan.

The makers have given proper credit to the legends behind the original song. Isai Puyal AR Rahman launched the remix version of 'Paartha Nyabhagam', re-composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan (Mookuthi Amman fame) and sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Kolai is a whodunit thriller inspired by a real incident that happened in New York in 1923. The movie has cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan and editing by Selva RK.

Vijay Antony portrays a private investigator in Kolai while the leading lady Ritika Singh will be seen as his female counterpart. The supporting cast includes Meenakshi Chaudhary, Murli Sharma, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddhartha Shankar, Kishore Kumar, John Vijay, Arjun Chidambaram and Samkit Bohra. Produced by Infiniti Film Ventures & Lotus Pictures, the release date is expected to be revealed soon.
