Technology giant Apple will team up with Oscar-winning music composer A.R.Rahman to introduce Mac Labs in Chennai and Mumbai.

Apple's Mac Lab will be set up in The KM Music Conservatory in Chennai which was founded by Rahman in 2008, in addition to being introduced in the Mumbai campus as well.

The Mac Labs will teach the students of the conservatory how to use Logic Pro X is Apple's flagship software for music creation in Mac.

A contribution from Apple Music towards the funding of 10 full-time scholarships to underprivileged students of the KM Music conservatory was also announced.

A.R Rahman, a loyal user of the Logic Pro for over twenty years himself stated that the labs and scholarships at the KMMC make an invaluable contribution towards the development of future composers and musicians.
