AR Rahman expresses condolences for his late “musical guru”!

AR Rahman is one of the most respected music directors in the history of Indian cinema. Today, the renowned composer took to his social media handle to pen a heartfelt note to express his grief over the death of his “musical guru” Vangelis.

Vangelis was an Oscar-winning Greek musician, considered a pioneer of electronic music. He is best known for his Academy Award-winning score for ‘Chariots of Fire’, as well as for composing scores for the films ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘Alexander’.

The acclaimed musician passed away on Wednesday at the age of 79. AR Rahman expressed his condolences for the legend as he wrote, “Our Electronic music guru who breathed life into circuits is no more #RestinPeaceVangelis #charriotsoffiremusic #bladerunnersoundtrack” (sic).
