Fast & Furious is a world-famous film franchise centred on a series of action entertainers that are largely concerned with illegal street racing, heists, spies and family. It focuses on the lives of Dominic Toretto and his family. This series is considered the vehicle that propelled lead actors Vin Diesel (Dom) and Paul Walker (Brian) to stardom.
The first film, 'The Fast and the Furious' was released in 2001 that began the original tetralogy of films focused on illegal street racing and culminated in the film 'Fast & Furious' (2009). The films transitioned towards heists and spying with 'Fast Five' (2011) that was followed by four sequels. The most recent instalment, 'F9' was released in 2021 and became a big blockbuster.
It is one of the high grossing film franchises in the world owing to its wide reach and popularity. A tenth and eleventh film is planned to conclude the franchise, and the movie series is collectively known as The Fast Saga. Now, the latest update is that the well-known Hollywood star Jason Momoa has been roped in to play the villain in F10 opposite Vin Diesel. Jason Momoa rose to fame by playing 'Khal Drogo' in 'Game of Thrones' and 'Aquaman' in DC Extended Universe.
