A sequel to super hit Kannada film ‘Aptha Mithra’ (derived from Mohan Lal Mani Chitrathal) is now getting ready. For the remake film ‘Aptha Mithra 2’ – the film in Tamil ‘Aranmanai’ is taken as main source for the contents by most successful director P Vasu. After ‘Aptha Mithra’ success starring Dr Vishnuvardhana, Ramesh Aravind, Soundarya, Prema in Dwarakish Chitra, P Vasu made the same film in Tamil starring super star Rajanikanth as ‘Chandramukhi’.

Now he is almost ready for ‘Aptha Mithra 2’ in noted producer Ramesh Yadav production. The shoot for the film is slated to begin from November.

Tamil film ‘Aranmanai’ was in P Sunder direction starring Ravi in lead roles. It looted in the box office. It was a horror comedy film with heroines Hansika Motwani, Viroshan, Andrea Jerome, Raj Lakshmi. Even this film was inspired from 1978 film ‘Ayiram Jenmangal’.

Among the key actors of ‘Aptha Mithra’ – Dr Vishnuvardhana and Soundarya are not living today.
