After the Sankranthi bustle, it seems April 2 is going to be another important date to watch out for this year. This early Summer, Tollywood is out to release four films.
Here are the four films whose release date has been announced as April 2:
'Love Story': Directed by Sekhar Kammula, this dance-based rom-com stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The film could get postponed by a week or two, though.
'Nishabdham': This mystery crime thriller stars Anushka and Madhavan. Directed by a newcomer, the film has been co-written by Kona Venkat. After several postponements, this multi-lingual release (to be also released in Tamil and other south Indian languages) has chosen April 2.
'Aranya': Starring Rana Daggubati as a caretaker of elephants, this action-adventure drama is produced by EROS International and is directed by Kollywood's Prabhu Solomon. This expensive movie will release in Hindi and Tamil as well on April 2.
'Uppena': Starring Vaisshnav Tej (Sai Dharam Tej's brother's maiden venture), this is a romantic-action drama. Vijay Sethupathi plays a key role.
It's estimated that two of these movies will get postponed if they don't find an adequate number of theatres or if they think four films coming on a day won't be in their best self-interest. Since 'Aranya' is releasing in Bollywood, it won't be postponed.
