'Appu- The Crazy Boy' has been selected in 20th ICFI (International Children's Film Festival India) in children's world section. The Festival will be held in Hyderabad between November 8 and 14.
What does the film talk about? "What happens when parents neglect or ignore the little wishes of their children, and what do children in their tender age expect from their parents, is what the film is about," the makers say.
Master Sai Srivanth has played the titular role. Jockey, Lohith Kumar, Pooja, Bindu, Jwala Chakravarthy, Dileep Rathod and others are a part of the cast.
What makes it all the more special is that the script has been endorsed by the State government!
Directed by K Mohan, who has produced the film on Mohan Movie Makers, the film also features other child artists like Sumith Jashu, Sai Abhishek, Lasya, Manogna, Aada, Chiruhas, and others.
The director-producer says, "The 8-year-old Appu wants to see an elephant. But his parents don't find the time to take him to an elephant, too busy as they are with their jobs. What Appu then does is what is the crux of the story. This is a must-watch not just for children but also parents."
