The daughter in law of a former four-time chief minister has been arrested for murdering her husband in cold blood that has sent shock waves in the political circles.  Rohit Sekhar Tiwari was the son of veteran politician N.D. Tiwari and who went to cast his vote at Uttarakhand on April 12th and had returned to his Delhi residence on April 15th.  N.D. Tiwari a very senior Congress Leader was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for three terms and Uttarakhand for one term and he died a few months back aged 93. 

On April 16th Rohit's mother was informed that her son had a cardiac arrest and blood was oozing out of his nose and she had rushed to his house and found his wife Apoorva Shukla Tiwari was present.  When he was taken to the hospital he was declared dead.  The police then investigated and suspected that the victim was in fact smothered to death by a pillow.

The police then took Apoorva Shukla Tiwari into custody and she confessed that on April 16th she murdered her husband with the help of a pillow and it took one and a half hours to end his life.
