Every day hundreds of people come to Chennai from their hometowns to try their luck in cinema. Only the least percentage of them find work leave alone attain stardom. The Tamil film industry has been shocked by the news that actor Mohan who starred alongside Kamal Haasan in ‘Apoorva Sagodharargal’ was found dead on the roadside.
Mohan who was a person of short stature hailed from Madurai and moved to Chennai with the passion for acting. He has appeared in several movies the most famous is the above mentioned one of the best movies ever made in which he played the dwarf Kamal’s friend. His other famous role was in Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’ after which acting chances declined and he went back to Madurai.
Sources say poverty struck and Mohan had to depend on the Thirupurangundram temple for one meal and also resorted to begging. The 60 year old was found dead on the roadside and the locals informed the police who sent the body for postmortem and also arranged the transit to his home village. RIP!
