The famous Savita of daily soap 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and now Kaki of 'Saat Phere' has refused the offer of Mani Ratnam to play the role of Aishwarya Rai's mother in his film 'Guru'.

Apara Mehta is nowadays busy shooting for her tele serial and her Gujrati play Kem Cho? Majama? which has recently completed 145 shows.

The buzz is that Apara was apparently upset due to the treatment meted out to her. The assistant director of the film met up with Apara and told her to block dates for the role. She wasn't given the script and had no information about the kind of look she will have to pose in the film.

According to Apara, without having any background information she cannot work for any project.
