AP: More than 8K cases in 24 hours; Vijayawada to see stricter measures

With 8,147 new Covid-19 cases, Andhra Pradesh has now got 77,963 confirmed cases so far. Discharged number stands at 37,198. So far, 933 have died in the Telugu State. Active cases are 39,832 in number.
In the last 24 hours, 49 deaths took place. About 2,380 patients got discharged. About 48,114 samples were tested.
With cases on a surge in Vijayawada, the Collector of Krishna has announced a Geographical Quarantine rule in 11 localities of the city. Medical shops have been exempted from the same.
