AP governor news is false, Sushma clarifies

The news about my appointment as Governor of Andhra Pradesh is not true, clarified former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, a day after unconfirmed news came out that she is the new Governor of AP.
The rumour did the rounds on WhatsApp in the Telugu States. Many messages congratulating the former Foreign Minister started spreading like wildfire in no time.
Curiously, even Union Minister Harshavardhan fell for this rumour. He made a tweet congratulating Swaraj, only to delete it later.
Is there a distinct possibility of Swaraj being appointed as the Governor in the future? If that is not the case, why would a senior leader like Harshavardhan find the news believable?
