Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu kickstarted the distribution of NTR Bharosa social pensions on Monday, marking a significant step in the newly formed government's welfare initiatives. The launch ceremony took place in Penumaka village, Tadepalli mandal, Guntur district, where Naidu personally handed over pensions to beneficiaries.
Naidu assured a family who received an old age pension and widow pension that a house would be provided soon. This marks the first statewide distribution of pensions since the new government's formation.
While Naidu launched the scheme in Penumaka, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and ministers Nara Lokesh, P Narayana, and others began distributing pensions in their respective constituencies.
During a meeting with pensioners in Penumaka, Naidu emphasized the government's commitment to creating a poverty-free Andhra Pradesh. He highlighted the importance of increasing wealth and income, stating, "Real welfare is to bring light into people's lives." He reaffirmed the TDP's dedication to societal well-being, stating, "Our government works with the inspiration of NTR. We care for the poor. Let's think innovatively. I want to see a society without economic inequality."
An interesting conversation unfolded between Naidu and minister Lokesh, highlighting the need for a change in approach after five years of the previous government. Lokesh pointed out that the people of Penumaka had not seen a Chief Minister in five years and that officials were still adhering to outdated practices despite repeated requests to change.
Naidu responded with a firm message, stating, "If they don’t change, there is no option but to suspend them. I want everyone to forget the old days and move on to new ones. This shouldn't happen anywhere. If anyone complains, action will be taken."
He urged both ministers and officials to adapt to the new era and embrace change, warning that those who resist will face "shock treatment." This decisive message signals the new government's commitment to efficiency and progress.
The launch of the NTR Bharosa scheme and the clear message delivered to officials demonstrate the new government's focus on welfare and accountability. Andhra Pradesh is poised for a new chapter, fueled by a renewed commitment to progress and a brighter future for its people.
