AP: 82 new cases as testing gets ramped up unlike in Telangana

Andhra Pradesh has witnessed 82 new cases in the last 24 hours (as at 11:30 AM, Tuesday). Total positive cases has reached 1259, while the number of active cases is 970. Discharged number is 258, while deceased number is 31.

Of the 82 new cases, 40 are from Kurnool, 17 are from Guntur, 13 are from Krishna, 7 are from Kadapa, 3 are from Nellore and 1 each are from Anantapur and Chittoor.

Kurnool (332), Guntur (254), Krishna (223) are the worst-affected, in that order.

As many as 5783 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. There is a criticism that Telangana is not doing enough testing, unlike AP. That's why its number was at a very low 2 on Monday.
