Anushka: What makes her bold and beautiful
When Anushka Shetty began work on what can be the most important roles of her filmi life – Devasena in Baahubali and Rudhramadevi, she had very little clue about it. The Bangalore diva had to perform some dare-devil stunts that come with its own dangers. Anushka, who is generally portrayed as damsel, had to undergo sword-fighting, horse-riding for her role in the two period dramas.
Sword fighting
Anushka trained hard in sword fighting before she started shooting for the film. A Hyderabad-based action choreographer took basic classes for the actress who rehearsed for every scene meticulously. By the time the sequences were filmed, she became a pro in the art.
Horse riding
For an introduction scene in Rudhramadevi, the scene demanded an Anushka riding a horse at a heavily populated area where people are fleeing from a wild elephant. The pretty lass dramatically leaped from her horse and curtailing the wild elephant`s moves single-handedly.
Dare-devil action sequences
Anushka suffered a hairline fracture while filming for the climax episode' of Rudhramadevi, and shot for around 10 days through intense pain. Director Gunasekhar offered using a body double but Anushka refused to and continued to shoot regardless.
Workout
Anushka had to hit the gym with a vengeance as she lost around 12 kg, and was on a special diet and fitness regime to get the leaner and fitter avatar. Anushka will be flaunting two contrasting looks in her upcoming films. While she required to look toned in Rudramadhevi, she would sport a feminine look in Bahubali.
