As reported earlier, accomplished Malayalam director Rojin Thomas, following the success of his previous feel-good drama movie 'Home', is now set to direct the big-budget horror film 'Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer'. As per the latest updates, the film's production commenced on April 5 and it is expected to be one of the most expensive movies ever made in Mollywood, with a focus on technical excellence. While pictures from the pooja ceremony are all over the internet, there are also speculations doing the rounds that the makers have approached actress Anushka Shetty for a significant role in the movie. While the news has excited the fans, there is no official confirmation yet.

Sources suggest that the budget for 'Kathanar - The Wild Sorcerer', featuring Jayasurya, is around Rs 90 crores, and it will be shot for 200 days and released in seven languages. The movie will utilize virtual production technology that is commonly used in foreign films. 'Kathanar' is a highly-anticipated project that promises to offer a global cinematic experience, as it combines elements of fantasy, thriller, and horror. It is expected to be a stunning visual spectacle, showcasing the talents of Jayasurya and his team.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Anushka Shetty is teaming up with Naveen Polishetty for the new-age comedy-drama titled Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty – a witty play on both their surnames. While Anushka plays a chef, Naveen plays a stand-up comedian in the movie directed by Mahesh Babu P, a debutante.
