Anushka Shetty has been enlisted for a "new-age entertainer" by UV Creations. To be directed by P Mahesh Babu of 'Ra Ra Krishnayya' fame, the untitled flick was made official on Sunday on the occasion of the 'Baahubali' actress' birthday.

UV Creations, which has previously worked with the superstar actress on 'Mirchi' and 'Bhaagamathie', is producing this as her 48th outing. Sharing the news on Twitter, Anushka wrote, "With all the birthday wishes, love that is being cherished upon, I am happy to announce my next movie to you all. My next is with Director #MaheshBabuP. Smile Always, Always Forever (sic)."

Director Mahesh's 'Ra Ra Krishnayya', which starred Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra in lead roles, was released in 2014. A rom-com, it was based on 'A Life Less Ordinary', a British romantic black comedy.

Anushka was last year seen in 'Nishabdham'. The OTT release was directed by Hemanth Madhukar. It had Madhavan and Michael Madson in key roles. In 2019, the damsel acted in 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' in a cameo.
