Anushka is not doing Dirty Picture

Anushka Shetty has denied reports which claimed that she would be playing the lead role in the Tamil and Telugu versions of 'The Dirty Picture', a Vidya Balan starrer. This film by Milan Luthria fetched the actress a National Award as well.
According to the spokesperson of the actress, Anushka is at present doing 'Alex Pandian' with Karthi, 'Thaandavam' with Vikram and Selvaraghavan's 'Irandam Ulagam' with Arya. There are no such plans (for 'The Dirty Picture'), the spokesperson says.
The actress is expected to leave for some abroad locations soon, to shoot for two Tamil movies - 'Thaandavam' and 'Irandam Ulagam'. While 'Thaandavam' is to be shot in the United States, 'Irandam Ulagam' is expected to be canned in Brazil.
Anushka is happy about working with directors Selvaraghavan and Vijay, who are known for bringing out the best from actors. She feels both 'Irandam Ulagam' and 'Thaandavam' will be milestones in her career, say sources in the know.
Coming to her Tollywood assignments, she awaits the release of Damarukam, where she is playing a difficult role after Arundhati opposite Nagarjuna.
