It is known that Gunasekhar's dream project is a period drama on the life of the great Rudrama Devi. He today announced that he would be its producer as well. "Many heroines evinced interest in doing the title role. However, I felt that only Anushka would be able to do 100 per cent justice to the role. In an industry where only hero-centric projects sell the most, I wavered whether I may invest so much on a heroine-centric movie. I feel that a good film always sells most," he says.

The film is India's first-ever historical Stereoscopic 3D movie.

Gunasekhar is glad that first rate talent like Illayaraja and Thota Tarani are part of his team. Besides, Ajay Vincent, Srikar Prasad, Seetha Lulla, Kamal Kannan have been roped in. "After listening to the script, they showed enthusiasm to be part of the project. I believe that all the 24 crafts are very important. That's why I have named my production company as 'Guna Team Works'. Thota Tarani garu started designing the sketches of this film's sets even from the time of Arjun. He is making all the efforts to recreate the glorious ambience of the Kakatiya era. I feel fortunate that Seetha Lulla, who was the costume designer of Devadas and Jodha Akbar, is part of my team. Kamal Kannan, who was part of the EFX team which worked for Magadheera and Eega, is with us. Other members of the cast are being roped in. The pre-production has been on for the last 10 months.

Gunasekhar has also announced Rs. 5 lakhs donation to the Neelam cyclone victims.
