India's first historical stereoscopic 3D film, 'Rudhramadevi', will be releasing on 9th of this month and Anushka, who played the titular role in this film, exudes confidence that the film will give a very good visual experience to the audiences. In an interview, she shares many things about the movie.

True historical film

'Arundathi' is a fiction film in a period backdrop and Baahubali is also a folklore film with fictional characters. But 'Rudhramadevi' is a true historical movie. There are good emotions in the movie. We've read about Rudhramadevi in books and Gunasekhar has been very inspired by her story. A lot of research went into the project and Gunasekhar really did a fantastic job. I am confident that this film will make a huge impact and will be a big hit.

Shocking incident

A particular incident in the life of Rudhramadevi is very shocking. I can't reveal much about it, but I am sure audiences will be taken aback watching that scene on screen. There is beauty, pain and emotion in her role and audiences will love watching the movie.

3D making is not easy

It was very difficult to shoot the film in 3D. The problem is with the alignment and it takes more than 40 minutes to change lens for every shot, unlike 2D making, which takes very less time. We have to take care of every aspect and it is a time taking process. We took care of every detail and we used to go to sets after discussion about every point. So the shooting has been delayed.

I had to work hard for horse riding and sword fighting. I took proper training so that I wouldn't be injured during shooting.

Very focused

Gunasekhar is a very focused and brilliant director. Rudhramadevi is his dream project. He researched a lot and directed the film extraordinarily. I really enjoyed working with him.

Only because of Bunny

If 'Vedam' movie happened, it was only because of Allu Arjun. After knowing about the story, he said to Krish that he wanted to act in the film and only after that, the film started. Even during shooting, he took care of everything. Now once again, it was Bunny who approached Gunasekhar and asked if he can play the role of Gona Gannareddy, knowing about it. I think it is a rare quality for a star actor.

Fortunate

I am not qualified enough to talk about Ilayaraja sir. But, I am really fortunate to have acted in a film, for which he worked. I was really surprised to see his simplicity.

He played a romantic role

Rana is a fantastic co-star. I played the role opposite him in this movie. He played a very romantic character.

I'm Blessed

I'm really blessed to have played roles like Arundati, Devasena, Rudhramadevi etc. Arundati was a turning point in my career. Till then, I played only glamorous roles and after that people started believing that I can play different roles. When I entered film industry, I have zero knowledge about films. But I am really happy with my career.

Never fond of it

I was never never fond of jewellery. Even for marriages and family functions, I used to wear jewellery only on the insistence of my mother. But after working for Rudhramadevi, I'm loving it.

Not so generous

I am not so generous to act in movies without taking remuneration. I will demand remuneration according to the subject. If the subject is good enough and I need to reduce my remuneration, I will consider it.
