Anushka Shetty has been around for 17 years. It was on July 20, 2005, that her first movie 'Super' hit the screens. The film was directed by Puri Jagannadh and starred Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead.

The 'Baahubali' actress' journey was celebrated on Wednesday on the sets of her next movie, whose hero is Naveen Polishetty. The 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya' actor joked that the 'Bhaagamathie' actress feels he is her best co-star so far. "Bribed Anushka Shetty with a cake. Ee 17 years lo nene best co-star anta. Congrats on an awesome journey so far. Our shoot has been going on guys. And it’s mad fun! (sic)," the 'Jathi Ratnalu' actor tweeted. The untitled film is directed by P Mahesh, a newcomer. UV Creations is producing it.

The cake has '17 years industry ikkada' written on it, in a reference to the famous '30 years industry ikkada' dialogue from 'Khadgam'.

Neelima Guna, the producer of 'Shaakuntalam' and Gunasekhar's daughter, described Anushka as an epitome of grace, strength and stardom in a social media post congratulating her on completing 17 years.
