As we had reported earlier, the mega budget period flick 'Rudhramadevi' starring Anushka in the titular role would be hitting the screens on October 9 after so many postponement of release date.

The latest update on the film is that it has been sent for the viewing of Censor Board Officials and the film has acquired a U/A certificate. The violent battle and war sequences in the film may be the reason for the film not getting a clean U certifciate.

'Rudhramadevi' directed by Gunasekar has Anushka, Allu Arjun, Catherine Thresa, Nithya Menen, Nasser, Prakash Raj and many others in important roles. The film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and the musical score has been rendered by Isaignani Ilaiyaraja.
