Director Vijay of ‘Madrasapattinam’ fame has started shooting his next project, which has Vikram in the lead role, in Ooty. “The title is not ‘Deivamagan’ as reported by a section of the media. I am looking for a much apt title,” he says.

Confirming that he has roped in Anushka and Amala Pal (of ‘Sindu Samaveli’ and ‘Mynaa’ fame) for the film, the director says, “Both of them will be joining the unit soon.”

On the movie, he says, “I can’t say much about the storyline at this point of time. But all that I can say is this is going to be an important film for everone who are part of it. Vikram has been doing a lot of hardwork.”

The movie is said to be loosely based on Sean Penn’s blockbuster ‘I Am Sam’ and Anushka has signed to play the female lead. Sources say Amala will be playing Vikram’s wife in the movie in a flashback segment.
