It hasn't been too long ago that Anurag Kashyap took a historical stance against censorship and a right one and came out with winning glory. 'Udta Punjab', being one of the films that Anurag's co-partnered firm Phantom was terribly endangered by the Censor Board, stood up as a united voice for the desperate need of revision of censorship rules for films in India.
Being a socially responsible voice, Anurag is soon now set to deliver a masterclass to students and cinema lovers alike in Australia at the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. One of the biggest Indian film festivals internationally, the festival will kickstart on 11th August in Melbourne and will have Anurag be a part of it alongside the likes of Rishi Kapoor, Fawad Khan, Richa Chahda, Radhika Apte to name a few.
Speaking on his upcoming session, Anurag said, "I can put forth my point of view and talk about how censorship is so pointless in the day and age of the internet.. I am excited as this is my first time there and really looking forward to interacting with the students."
