Back in the year 2012, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap delivered one of the best crime dramas of Bollywood, 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'. The film featured powerhouse actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Huma Qureshi, Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi to name a few and it was released in two parts.

Apart from these stalwarts, the film also had Vicky Kaushal as an assistant director and recently Anurag Kashyap recalled the time when Vicky had to go to jail during the filming of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'. Apparently, the cast of the film recently appeared on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' to celebrate 10 years of 'Gangs Of Wasseypur'. During the show, Piyush Mishra shared how often people on Anurag Kashyap films get arrested by police.

Anurag recalled, “During Wasseypur, Vicky Kaushal went to jail once… We would shoot without permission, and once we were shooting the actual illegal sand mining that the mafia was conducting there. And Vicky got caught.”

Vicky Kaushal went on to make his Bollywood debut with 'Masaan' and later starred in successful films like 'Raazi', 'Uri' etc and currently he is working on the Sam Manekshaw biopic.
