The much awaited 3D sequel and visual effects saga Dawn Of The Planet Of the Apes' which released this Friday has climbed strong at the Indian Box Office with a stunning RS 8.9 Crores opening!

Opening to a dazzling 70 million plus weekend overseas, the sequel directed by Matt Reeves and starring the king of motion capture Andy Serkis along with Oscar Nominee Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and Keri Russel has been overwhelmingly critically acclaimed across the globe.

Interestingly not only the film's use of visual effects but even the thought-provoking characterization of both humans and apes have been frequently commented upon by critics. For the hard core action fans, the special effects have gone above and beyond expectation by Oscar winning WETA Digital creating a never seen before ape community through motion capture.

Most critics are already rooting for the film and special effects to bag few Oscars, and Andy Serkis seems to be the actor who surely seems to be the strongest Oscar contender this year.

Not only critics and fans but looks even the b-Town fraternity is appreciating the sequel with noted names such as Anurag Kashyap who said " I absolutely loved the film.. Better than all the big event films we have seen so far this summer" and Arjun Kapoor who tweeted "Hail Caesar!! #DawnofthePlanetoftheApes has to be the film of the year @andyserkis @mattreevesLA awe inspiring performance & storytelling."
