Rumours regarding Jasprit Bumrah's upcoming wedding have been making headlines for a while now, and a number of speculations suggested that Bumrah might be tying the knot with south Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran.

Anupama's mother has rubbished the rumours, claiming that those speculations began when the actress and cricketer started following each other on social media. She also mentioned that the two of them were good friends and nothing more. Anupama's mother was quoted as saying, "A new story would appear when everyone begins to forget about Anupama. We take it only in the positive sense. There were many stories linking Anupama and Bumrah earlier too. I think these stories were created by those who didn't like them following each other on Instagram. I suppose they had unfollowed each other after such untrue stories were spread. Once, Bumrah was staying in the same hotel as Anupama's where she had gone for a shooting. It was then that they had met each other for the first time. I don't understand why such a story has popped up now."

Jasprit Bumrah had opted out of the fourth Test match against England to prepare for his wedding, as per reports. A BCCI source reportedly said, "He informed the BCCI that he is getting married and has taken the leave to help in preparations for the big day." Bumrah had played two Test matches against England in the four-match series, where he picked up four wickets.
