There's no denying that government has proven to be incompetent in the face of the crisis going on in the country. Actor Anupam Kher recently gave an interview to a leading news channel and slammed the government for poorly handling the resources and logistics which has cost the lives of several citizens. This was kind of unbelievable for people since Anupam is used to defending the reigning goverment.

He also believed that the critisism against the government was valid for most part. He said, "I think the criticism is valid in lots of cases. Only an inhuman person will not get affected by the bodies floating (in the rivers)." This was in reference to the number of deadbodies being spotted floating in the river Ganga.

However, maintaining the objectivity, Anupam also shared that it'd be unethical of some other political party tries to take advantage of the shortcomings of the government. He said, "But for another political party to use it for their gain, I think that is also not right. I think we should, as people, get angry. It is important to hold the government responsible for what’s happening. Somewhere they have slipped. It is time for them to understand that there is much more to life than just image building maybe."
