Actor Antony Varghese who is basking in the success of his latest release 'Ajagajantharam' helmed by Tinu Pappachan, is all set for his next release. The actor's upcoming movie is a sports drama titled ‘Aanparambile World Cup’. A day ago, the actor took to his social media handle to announce that the film will be released in May this year. However, the team is yet to finalize the release date. Sharing a brand new poster of the movie, Antony confirmed that "‘Aanaparambile World Cup’ will reach you all on May this year.” The post was soon flooded with comments from fans who all expressed their excitement for the upcoming Antony Verghese starrer film.

Scripted and helmed by the debutant Nikhil Premraj, the filming of the upcoming movie began in 2019. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team had postponed the release multiple times. The movie, which is based on some fantasy elements that tell the story of a few football-obsessed inhabitants living in a fictional village named ‘Aanaparambu’, also features TG Ravi, IM Vijayan, Nishanth Sagar, Danish, Archana Vasudev, Jo Paul Ancheryn, and Amal in important roles. Shot by cinematographer Faiz Siddik, the film has music and an original score by Jakes Bejoy. The movie is backed by the banners Achappu Movie Magic & Mass Media Production.
