‘Antariksham 9000 KMPH’, billed as our cinema's first-ever space genre flick, will head to theatres on December 21. This one stars Varun Tej as a smart astronaut.

Marking Diwali, the makers recently released a still of the Mega hero and Lavanya Tripathi in a colourful and vivacious backdrop.

Directed by Sankalp Reddy, whose debut 'Ghazi' won a National Award for 2017, it has Aditi Rao Hydari of 'Sammohanam' fame as an astronaut. Satyadev, Srinivas Avasarala and others are also part of the cast.

"The recent teaser has got an outstanding response as it was packed with thrilling visuals that were never before seen in Telugu cinema," the makers say.

Music is by Prashanth Vihari, while Krish Jagarlamudi is presenting and producing it in collaboration with Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu of First Frame Entertainments. Gnana Sekhar VS's cinematographic talent and Rajeev Rajasekharan's CG works will be on display in this space thriller. Editing is by Karthik Srinivas. Production Designing is by Sabbani Ramakrishna Monica of 'Rangasthalam' fame.
