Another Tiger found dead in Kerala

A day after a female tiger was found dead near a forest area in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district, a five-year-old wild cat has been found dead at Kurichiat in Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesday. The carcass of the animal has been sent for post mortem and more details are awaited. As per the preliminary report, the Tiger's death was caused due to an injury in the neck probably caused by a wire trap or fence.
In a similar incident on the same day, a tiger and a leopard were found dead in separate incidents in the forest areas of Maharashtra's Chandrapur district. While the tiger was found in a decomposed state, the leopard is said to have died after it was caught in a net or wire trap. The Police and forest officials. have started investigating in the incident.
