Another star daughter enters Kollywood

Sumithra was one of the most homely looking heroines in Tamil cinema. Even the characters she chose in her hey days in the 70s complimented her family look.
So when Sumithra's first daughter Uma entered films everybody was apprehensive and doubted whether the young Uma will be able to emulate her mother. But Uma did and is now happily married after doing some films of substance like the Thankar Pachan directed 'Thendral' opposite Parthiban.
Now Sumithra's second daughter Nakshatra is also testing her waters in Kollywood. Nakshatra is debuting in the film 'Varusa Nadu' opposite Kumaran who was a surprise package in ÂDhairiyam which released in January. Kumaran is also the producer of this film to be directed by a Gautham Menon associate.
