Actress Aditi Balan had made her debut in Tamil with the acclaimed movie Aruvi directed by debutant Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, and the movie which revolved around her character, won great reviews and also a lot of awards in various award events.

While the actress is yet to sign any new Tamil movie, she has started signing new projects in Malayalam. Recently, the actress has been roped in to play the female lead in an upcoming Malayalam movie which is directed by Shaheed Khader, known for directing Chennaiyil Oru Naal in Tamil.

Aditi Balan has replaced Nithya Menen who was the original choice for the role, and will be paired with Kunchacko Boban in the movie. It must be noted that before a month it was revealed that Aditi Balan had been signed to play the female lead in another Malayalam movie Padavettu starring Nivin Pauly.
