Highly intelligent, workaholic takes challenges in the tinsel town very often Roopa Iyer director of Mukhaputa` an international acclaimed cinema and Chandra` a bilingual in Kannada and Tamil adds one more glory to her kitty. That is Mahatma Gandhi Samman Award from British High Commissioner and International Development minister.

Roopa Iyer got this prestigious award for her work on creating children education awareness. She is currently half way through the shooting of children film Colors`. She has completed first schedule of shoot at Mysuru. The second schedule begins in Sakleshpur from coming Monday. Roopa Iyer has so far made fifty plus short films. Most of them are related to the children in different strata in the society. A dance exponent of India Classic Art Roopa Iyer is also high class actress. Daatu` is standing example for her caliber in acting.
