Last 12 months have been terrible for Bollywood and cinephiles in general. We have lost many brilliant artists to Covid-19 and other causes. The recent name in the list in actor Bikramjeet Kanwarpal. He was part of so many popular films and although he was mostly casted in side roles, he had unmatched skills and screen presence. He was 52 years old when he sccumbed to Covid-19.

Bikramjeet was a former army officer. He retired from the rank of Major before pursuing his dream of becoming an actor. Several Bollywood stars took to their social medias to share their grief on such a loss.

His co-star from '1971', Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "Oh my god!!! What a sad news !!! We knew each other for 14 yrs since the making of 1971 ! REST IN PEACE MAJOR !!!???? So Shocking!!!"

Neil Nitin Mukesh shared, "Extremely sad news . I’ve known Major Bikramjeet for so many years. He and I have worked on so many films together. The last being Bypass Road. Such a fantastic, encouraging and energetic human being he was and will always be remembered as. #RIP My dear friend will miss you."
