Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to kickstart the shoot of his upcoming film 'An Action Hero' and he's being joined by an equally charismatic and skilled actor for this project. Makers Anand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar have roped in Jaideep Ahlawat for an important role in the film. Rai's production house announced the casting with a Twitter post which read, "Tighten up your seatbelts and get ready for the chase as @JaideepAhlawat joins @ayushmannk in ‘An Action Hero’!”

Jaideep has acted in iconic films like 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' and he really got present his skills with a slick performance in the web show 'Paatal Lok'. The film is being marketed as an out of the box action flick with a unique take on humor. Anand L Rai evens believes that this will an important film for Ayushmann's career.

According to a recent report in The Indian Express, Anand L Rai said, "This is the first time that we are experimenting with this genre and An Action Hero is going to be an unconventional entertainer. Today is a proud moment for me to watch Anirudh behind the camera, directing his own film. I have seen him grow as a director and nothing makes me happier than watching him own this film completely! We began the muhurat shoot with a lot of enthusiasm today and I’m certain the energy will translate on-screen too.”
