'Adipurush', starring Prabhas in the lead, has locked its release date. The Om Raut-directed 3D action magnum opus will hit the screens on August 11, 2022.

Taking to his social media pages on Thursday, the 'Baahubali' sensation wrote, "Adipurush in theatres 11.08.2022."

Featuring Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, it has Prabhas as Sri Rama. To be released in Hindi and all major South Indian languages, the film will go on the floors in January next year.

Prabhas, who awaits the release of 'Radhe Shyam' in 2021, will probably complete the shoot of 'Adipurush' months before its theatrical release. Bollywood, in keeping with its culture of announcing the release date in advance, has revealed it even before the film has been taken to the floors. Prabhas' fans, who are generally kept in the dark about updates, are thrilled!
